Paddle domain and product review
1. Seller and product identity
| Brand | DeskRemote |
|---|---|
| Legal seller | Alison Tech Studio |
| Country | TW |
| Support | [email protected] |
| Product | Downloadable Windows/macOS/Linux remote-desktop software with free mobile and web viewers and a hosted control plane. |
| Sale model | Free plus Personal Pro subscription. Paddle is the preferred Merchant of Record; the server implements a config-gated Paddle hosted-checkout and webhook lane that stays fail-closed pending approval. |
| Current checkout state | Production website checkout is disabled. It stays disabled by default and can only be enabled through the operator's config-gated payment-processor lane after the merchant-identity and checkout gates pass. No card details are collected by DeskRemote. |
2. What DeskRemote does
DeskRemote is consent-based remote desktop software for accessing devices the user owns or is explicitly authorized to administer. Interactive sessions use an account-bound authorization flow. Unattended access requires explicit local configuration and remains revocable. The local user can terminate an active session.
Included product deliverables
- Windows, macOS, and Linux Host + Viewer applications when their signed release lanes are available (Linux AppImage/.deb are published with SHA-256 today)
- iOS and Android viewer applications through their approved distribution channels
- DeskRemote account, device enrollment, session signaling, entitlement, and audit services
- Personal Free and Personal Pro capability limits shown on Pricing
Explicitly not provided
- No covert monitoring, hidden session mode, keylogging, or credential capture
- No device unlocking, antivirus evasion, elevation of privilege, or OS permission bypass
- No human-operated remote repair or technical-support service
- No resale marketplace, employee surveillance, parental surveillance, or stalkerware use case
3. Pricing and delivery
Current public plan descriptions are available on Pricing. Before Paddle production approval, all Paddle purchase controls remain disabled. The server already implements a config-gated Paddle lane — server-created hosted-checkout transactions plus a signature-verified webhook receiver at POST /api/billing/paddle/webhook — and it is fail-closed by default. When the operator enables it after all gates pass, checkout is hosted by Paddle and the verified webhook—not a browser success page—updates the DeskRemote server entitlement ledger.
DeskRemote account
→ server-created Paddle transaction
→ Paddle-hosted checkout
→ Paddle-Signature verified webhook
→ idempotent DeskRemote billing ledger
→ server entitlement projection
→ clients refresh capabilities

5. Reviewer checklist
- Confirm the product description, pricing, features, Terms, Refund Policy, and Privacy Notice are directly reachable from this domain.
- Request a reviewer account and controlled test Host through the verified support contact. Credentials are never published in source control or on this page.
- Enroll only a test device owned by the reviewer or explicitly supplied for review.
- Start an interactive session, verify the visible host indicator and local termination control, then end the session.
- If unattended access is reviewed, verify local opt-in, revocation, and account/device binding.
- Confirm no production Paddle checkout is exposed before identity, domain, product-risk, refund, and operational approval.
6. Review contact
Use [email protected] with subject Paddle product review. Include the Paddle account/application reference. Do not send card data, passwords, API keys, webhook secrets, unattended PINs, or private customer content.
