1. Provider and seller identity
DeskRemote is the product and sole-proprietor brand operated by Alison Tech Studio, a Taiwan sole proprietorship (country TW). Product and merchant inquiries may be sent to [email protected]. Paddle submission and production website checkout remain blocked unless the public merchant profile is complete.
These Terms govern the DeskRemote website, account, personal workspace, relay/signaling service, downloadable software, and verified entitlements. The installed application is also governed by the EULA; data handling is described in the Privacy Notice.
中文摘要:本條款規範網站、帳戶、個人工作區、中繼/信令、下載軟體與已驗證授權。完整法律正文以英文為準。
2. Authorized use only
Remote access is limited to devices you own or are explicitly authorized to access, and only with informed consent from the person whose device, screen, files, audio, clipboard, or input you access. Unauthorized remote access, hidden surveillance, credential theft, keylogging, privilege or OS-permission bypass, and bypassing host consent are prohibited.
3. Individual product plans
- Free: one individual owner, personal non-commercial use, up to 3 registered devices and 1 concurrent remote session.
- Pro Monthly or Pro Annual: commercial use by the individual owner, up to 200 registered devices and 3 concurrent remote sessions, with current Personal Pro features while the subscription is active.
These are individual-owner products. They do not include team seats, shared organizational licensing, centralized team billing, enterprise SLA, resale, OEM, or white-label rights.
4. Current public-sale availability
A plan description or suggested price on this website is not an authorization to charge you. The current operational contract remains fail-closed and includes a store-first-personal distribution/entitlement path. Paddle is the preferred future Merchant of Record for website subscriptions, but production Paddle checkout is not enabled until Paddle identity/domain/product review and DeskRemote’s internal launch evidence pass.
5. Paddle-hosted checkout when approved
For website orders processed through the Paddle channel: our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for those orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to payment and handles returns for those orders, and its Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy apply at checkout in addition to these Terms.
If Paddle checkout is later enabled, Paddle will act as Merchant of Record for purchases made through that channel and will present the authoritative localized price, tax, renewal, payment, receipt, cancellation, and refund terms at confirmation. DeskRemote does not process card payments on this website. Card entry occurs only on Paddle-hosted pages. A browser success page does not grant Pro access.
After payment, DeskRemote grants or changes entitlement only after receiving and verifying a Paddle webhook against the exact raw request body and the configured endpoint secret. The provider transaction, product/price mapping, account/workspace binding, subscription status, expiration, refund, and revocation state are enforced by the DeskRemote server.
In addition to platform stores, a Pro Monthly subscription may be started from this website (annual billing is available through the platform-store channel) at /billing/checkout once the online channel is enabled. That online subscription is processed, billed, renewed, and refunded by the third-party payment processor acting as the payment handler and Merchant of Record for the transaction. This website never collects card numbers. The website checkout entry remains closed by default and is revealed only when the server’s public billing configuration reports that website checkout is allowed; nothing on this page means the online channel is enabled right now. Cancelling the online subscription stops automatic renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and the DeskRemote server grants or changes the related entitlement only on the processor’s verified events.
6. Platform-store and other payment channels
Where a validated platform Store listing remains available, the Store handles payment, tax, renewal, cancellation, refund, receipt history, and charge disputes for that purchase. Store and Paddle purchases are separate channels but resolve into the same server-owned DeskRemote entitlement authority.
Where a Taiwan card-payment option is offered, payment is collected through ECPay 綠界科技 acting as a payment gateway on our behalf; for that channel Alison Tech Studio is the seller of record and the DeskRemote Refund & Cancellation Policy applies directly. Where Lemon Squeezy is offered, Lemon Squeezy acts as Merchant of Record for that order under its own buyer terms. The active option(s) are shown at checkout; card entry always occurs on the processor's hosted pages, never on this website.
7. Entitlement verification and account binding
A paid product becomes usable only after DeskRemote verifies the provider event or Store receipt and links it to one DeskRemote owner account and personal workspace. The same verified purchase cannot be active on multiple unrelated owner accounts or moved without an approved transfer process. Raw card information is never received by DeskRemote.
8. Historical entitlements
Previously issued perpetual or update-extension entitlements, if independently verified, remain recognizable for restoration, refund, revocation, and feature-cutoff calculations. They are legacy rights and are not offered to new customers under the current public catalog.
9. Expiration, cancellation, refund, and revocation
When a subscription expires, is refunded, disputed, or revoked, paid access ends at the time determined by the relevant provider and the account returns to another valid entitlement or Free. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy and Cancellation guide.
10. Fair use, suspension, and termination
DeskRemote may apply reasonable anti-abuse, bandwidth, relay, file-size, session, or device limits. DeskRemote may limit, suspend, or terminate access for unauthorized control, abuse, fraud, attempts to evade licensing, attempts to bind one purchase to multiple owners, excessive service load, or violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Warranty disclaimer
Except where a mandatory consumer guarantee applies, the software and service are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alison Tech Studio disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-interruption. Remote connectivity depends on your networks, operating systems, and devices, which are outside our control.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alison Tech Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from use of the software or service. For paid plans, total aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim; for Free use, to NT$3,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product, channels, or law change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes affecting paid subscriptions will be announced on this website with reasonable notice before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The archived history of this page is available on request.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection law of your habitual residence. Courts of Taiwan have jurisdiction, except that purchases made through a Merchant of Record (Paddle or Lemon Squeezy) are additionally subject to that provider's buyer terms, and consumers may rely on the courts and law of their habitual residence where the law so provides. We encourage contacting [email protected] first — most issues are resolved directly.
