DeskRemote is operated by Alison Tech Studio (Taiwan sole proprietorship). Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected]. DeskRemote uses account, personal-workspace, device, session, and verified entitlement metadata to provide remote access, ownership binding, and plan enforcement.

1. Account and device data

• Email, sign-in provider, personal-workspace membership, trusted-device state, and security settings.

2. Remote-session metadata

DeskRemote may store session start/end time, participant identifiers, route category, quality state, and security/audit events. Remote screen contents, keystrokes, transferred-file contents, audio, and clipboard payloads are not intended to be persisted as ordinary server records. User-requested features such as recording or file transfer may create files at the chosen endpoint or configured storage location.

3. Entitlement and billing metadata

DeskRemote stores the minimum non-card information required to bind and enforce a purchase: provider, hashed or provider-scoped identifiers, internal product, price mapping, subscription/transaction reference, status, acquisition time, current period end, grace/revocation state, workspace binding, and synchronization time. These records prevent one verified individual purchase from being linked to unrelated owners and support restore, cancel, refund, chargeback, and dispute handling.

4. Paddle Merchant of Record

Paddle is the preferred future Merchant of Record for approved website subscriptions. Production Paddle checkout is currently disabled. If enabled, checkout and card entry occur on Paddle-hosted pages. Paddle processes payment-card data, tax, fraud screening, payment authorization, receipts, and related payment records under Paddle’s own terms and privacy notice. DeskRemote does not process card payments on this website and does not receive full card numbers.

DeskRemote receives signed lifecycle events and non-card transaction/subscription metadata from Paddle. The DeskRemote server verifies the exact raw webhook body and signature before applying an idempotent entitlement update. Browser redirects do not grant paid access.

Data-protection roles: for a Paddle-processed order, Paddle and Alison Tech Studio each act as independent data controllers of the personal data they respectively process. The categories Paddle shares with us for order fulfillment are: buyer name, email address, country/region, and the purchase, subscription, and refund history for DeskRemote orders — never card numbers. We use those categories only to fulfil the order, grant and manage the entitlement, provide support, and meet legal obligations; we do not sell them or use them for third-party advertising. Paddle's own handling of buyer data is described in the Paddle Privacy Policy, and privacy requests about payment records can be made to Paddle directly or through us. The same role split applies to Lemon Squeezy orders under the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy; for ECPay-processed Taiwan card payments, ECPay processes the payment as a gateway under its own privacy terms while Alison Tech Studio remains the seller of record.

In addition to platform stores, a Pro subscription may be started from this website once the online channel is enabled. A website-started subscription is processed, billed, renewed, and refunded by the third-party payment processor acting as the payment handler and Merchant of Record; card entry happens only on the processor-hosted checkout, so this website never collects card numbers. DeskRemote stores only the non-card entitlement metadata described in this Notice, and the server changes entitlement only on the processor’s verified events. Cancellation of a website-started subscription stops automatic renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

5. Platform Stores

Where a platform Store purchase is available, the Store processes payment, tax, renewal, cancellation, refund, receipt, and card information. DeskRemote receives only the Store credential or status data needed to verify and project entitlement.

6. Website, cookies, and logs

The website provides product information, downloads, account access, support, and entitlement status. Server and security logs may contain IP address, user agent, request time, endpoint, response status, rate-limit/security events, and diagnostic identifiers. Analytics or cookies must not be added without updating this Notice and the deployed consent/retention behavior.

7. Retention, deletion, and choices

Entitlement and audit metadata may be retained while needed to preserve purchased rights, process refunds/revocations, prevent duplicate binding, resolve disputes, investigate abuse, or meet legal obligations. Users may revoke devices, end sessions, request account deletion, or contact support for access/deletion questions. Some billing, fraud, security, and dispute records may need to remain for a legally or operationally required period.

8. Security and international processing

Access to service data is limited to the service and authorized operator processes. Paddle, platform Stores, infrastructure providers, and security/communications vendors may process data in other countries under their respective contracts and legal safeguards. Never send passwords, API keys, webhook secrets, unattended PINs, full receipts, or full card data to support.
